So there I was, minding my own business, getting out of the shower into the changing part of the shower when I hear a squirmel of noise so I look up and there is reallytallguy just getting into the changing compartment and we make eye contact for like WAY too long then all of a sudden look away from each other. He was fully clothed, I was completely naked.

Oh, the flaws of the shower stall.

So last night I went over to my friends' dorm to avoid studying and Cmini yells as soon as I enter that SHE WANTS TO DO SOMETHING. And since I never back down from a challenge, especially one regarding avoiding my school work, me Cmini and D think of the places we could go on campus to have fun. We concluded that ITS JUST BEEN TOO DARN LONG SINCE THERE WAS SOME CHEESE ACTION. ITS COLLEGE. FUCK THE FACT THAT ITS WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND I HAVE ECONOMICS AT FUCKING 8 IN THE MORNING AND I HAVEN'T DONE ANY OF THE HOMEWORK. So we make one phone call (JUST LIKE HOW QUICKLY IT TOOK US RIGHT??) and smack some UP.

We head out to some woods behind our dorm and I'm reminded of that time we went in the "woods" behind our tent and suggested that this was not a legitimate locale. So we head over to this trail behind the rose garden and find ourselves a nice log to sit upon and whip out the apple, cheese and have ourselves a delightful.. snack. (a sidenote: apples work wonderfully for cheese) Except we were also in a rose garden or blackberry bush, there was some debate, and so we kept on stabbing ourselves with all the thorns so now my hand has multiple holes in it from forgetting to not put my hand on the log. So Cmini, D, roomate of Cmini and D, and me went to go lay in the grass by and everything was MAD creepy becuase there was this american flag with an eery light on it and it was the only light around.

I told them the story about that time I ate chicken and peanut butter but they were hardcore fixated on the fact that we ROASTED A CHICKEN. They thought we were tres clever.

So after a while I returned to my dorm and tried.. to do my homework. It was ... fruitful. A valient effort.

Then I woke up at the fucking crack of dawn to go to fucking economics (at which point the cheese was still alive and kicking in my system). I was... fully there.. and fully alert.. and not at all tired or spacey.

Once class finished, I practically ran back to my dorm, jumped into bed and took the best nap I have ever had in my entire life.

life as a Vegan

i'm feeling mad nostalgic about the summer. i keep feeling like this is a short break from the summer and then i shall return to the nothing days of living at a's house and just kind of being like one of those floaty feathery things. thats what the summer reminded me of. being that floating thing and just kind of being warm and lovely. working at beaver camp seems like years in the past. we had an epic summer. one of these days when i dont have a paper and reading to do (like, never any more since school is tomorrow) i think i will recap some of the summer highlights.

but yea, the weather is great here because its been like 60-70s and like some cloud and some sun which is great weather but its just kind of a shock after just coming from like 80-90s, it makes it feel like summer was a long time ago.

yesterday was the welcome back dinner for all the upperclassman (even though most havent even moved in yet) and so they had like a marimba band or somethign play at dinner.

thats them somewhere else. for us they played sllightly more upbeat and so all the freshman had a dance party to it and it was so lanky because there is no way to dance to that without just flailing. that was really fun because we were all dancing and clapping and singing along and it was great.

then i went back to some peoples rooms and played cards until it was time to go to a comedy performance "sex signals" that was like quite funny in the first half then the second half turned awkward and weird because they made a bizarre transition into PEOPLE RAPE YOU AT COLLEGE it was just bizarre. then i went back to watch a movie with some people in the lounge and it was great and i had to not fall asleep but that is all i ever do when i watch movies so it was hard work. but my friend brought some amazing tea from home (shes from montana ... hehehehehe) and it was DELICIOUS.

the night before i went to an open mic night at the student art place and it was really cool except for one guy that like did a 30 minute lecture and demonstration on the fife. it was a little excessive.

today i bought my books (OUTRAGEOUS PRICE DON'T EVEN BOTHER GOING TO COLLEGE BECAUSE THE BOOKS ARE TOO EXPENSIVE) and i cried the entire time because books are expensive.
then i went into portland to do a scavenger hunt with some people. we thought we were last so we didnt even bother moving at a legitimate pace but it turns out we were fifth so we still won the prize of a dozen donuts at this really cool donut place. the donuts were like donuts so i didn't enjoy them that much but the atmosphere of the place was really cool and i would love to work there at some pointttttttt.

tonight im going to an outdoors backpacking thing info session to see about future trips which i think will be fun. then its BINGO! night... where i figure not too many people will go so maybe ill win a lot becuase they give away dorm decorations which would be lovely to have.

when i get back for thanksgiving we're going out to like RIBS MEAT MEAT MEAT restaurant because they only believe is meat a little bit here. and i believe in meat A LOT. so i'm having a difficult relationship with the meatlessness.

so i think college is great. its really bizarre because when you're out in the world you see a bunch of normal people and then a few sprinkled kool kids that are like really cool. but heeeeeeeeereeee everyone (well, most) are like great. so yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
the only flaw in the system is that my dorm building is kind of lack luster in the department of nonathletic type of constituency. but whatever they're like nice and its not as though only dorm people hang out at all.
i have my first like "pre class" thing in like an hour and im PUMPED. its like the core class for all freshman and one of my roomates is in my class so that should be nice so i can copy all of her homework and cheat off all her tests. but yea, it will be great.
having a bad short term memory is making me FAIL at names. they say it and i immediately forget upon hearing it.

MY GUIDE ON THE WHOLE "ORIENTATION" BIT
orientation is kind of a ROLLERCOASTER OF EMOTIONS as they say. when its like meal time and like stuff to do time i think its great because you just like sit with random people and like talk and like meet people which is really nice. but then when people go like have stuff to do its kind of lonesome for a bit so its just kind of annoying. it probably also doesnt help that im always exhausted by like eight so that i have no modivation to like go and do the night activities or anything.
i figure the first few days are like bizarre for everyone but i think in general its like a great fit for me and everythign so i think thats great. i also figure i'll make great friends eventually because i think everyone does and i'm already starting to like recognize people around and like say hi so thats nice. my advice is sit with someone new everytime there is a thing because its good to do.
i think people are afraid to comment on my jesus tattoo in case im mad religious or something except for one girl i've been hanging out with who is super neat.

so M might want to be an lolcat so i was scuffling through some picture of him to try to find the noodle picture because maybe if i found the noodle one there could be something funny about noodles and lolcat and M.

and then i thought OH WOW LOOK ITS US AGAIN but i thought it for real becuase it seemed like a real looking at them because if it was an us again picture then i would be in it so since i wasn't it must have been them in real life as thought im looking at them in person. i dont think im explaining this very well. but then i remembered we're all seperated by time and space now and it won't be us again until maybe thanksgiving but definetly christmas and then i got all sentimental.
then i thought how great its going to be when its christmas break and its going to be A and K and M and J and Y and K and C and i feel like i'm missing all the people but i can't think to remember them so its going to be great because we'll have stories.
